Agent Lab / Workflow Redesign Agent
Fix the process first. Then decide where AI helps.
Describe a process your team uses. The agent maps the steps and looks for delays you could fix, including changes that don’t need AI. You can review its suggestions for AI use, then approve a revised map before it drafts a plan for a small trial.
The method: 7 moves from scope to pilot, 12 design rules from public research, a pilot template, 3 worked examples and 20 trick inputs.
Try it
- Green AI drafts, a person checks.
- Yellow Use an approved tool and have the assigned reviewer check the work.
- Red A person handles this. AI can help prepare the information.
- No AI Use rules or existing software for this step.
- Mostly waiting Dashed card: work sits in a queue.
- Hands-on Solid card: someone is working on it.
Choose one of three recorded examples to follow a process review. No live AI needed.
Under the hood
What the AI writes and the software checks
Written by Claude
- A map of the current process and suggestions for what to fix
- How AI could help at each step, with a rating and review requirements
- A pilot plan explaining what to test, the expected benefit and the risks
Checked by the software
- Money, bank, vendor, promise and people steps are always Red, and nobody can lower them
- No step goes below the method’s tier table
- Unclear data or an unapproved tool means the stricter tier
- Changes to ratings need a reason and are recorded
- The pilot is drafted only after the manager approves the map
- Figures must come from the manager or the supplied method
These checks are tested automatically whenever the Lab is updated.
